In Indian aesthetics, the navras, or the nine moods and themes, still underpin understanding of the classical arts. They also inform and influence contemporary cinema and the intangibles of the navras are present in other art forms including literature. A session that looks at the range of these powerful emotive categories from Śṛngāram (love) to Adbhutam (wonder) and Bībhatsam (disgust) and their corresponding bhavas (moods).
