Naad Anunaad, a dream project initiated by Kala Ramesh, is the first international haiku anthology to come from India. It maps a wide range of haiku as practised in the contemporary worldscape of this 400-year-old art form from Japan. The so-called ‘simple’ haiku has been changing its face rapidly in recent times. Multi-faceted and elusive, it’s difficult to keep pace with it now! Tradition, to be alive, needs to be a flowing river, for stagnant water stinks. Naad Anunaad introduces you to the world of contemporary haiku in all its various avatars.

The 746 haiku in this volume are authored by 231 poets from 26 countries. They resonate, each in a unique way — just for you!
