Yaroslav Trofimov, a Kyiv-born author, has published three narrative non-fiction books and the novel No Country for Love. A foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal since 1999, he became the chief foreign-affairs correspondent in 2018. He was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for international reporting in 2023 and 2022, and his latest book, Our Enemies Will Vanish, was a finalist for the 2024 Orwell Prize. Trofimov holds an MA from New York University, and his works have been translated into multiple languages.
